About Us

When we first arrived in New Zealand,

the things we missed the most was bread and pastries. Solid, crunchy Portuguese bread that tastes like home in every bite. After looking everywhere for this bread and not finding it, in mid 2015, Nata Portuguese Bakery came to life. It took a year to go from an idea  to an actual bakery. Today we feel honored to be able to spread the joy of Portuguese bakery.

Our goal is to provide the best traditional Portuguese Bread and Pastry in Auckland.
All the bread is freshly baked, it is made only with natural yeast, salt, water and flour. We make bread using centuries-old methods, which make it much healthier and tastier.

We are also home to the famous Pastel de Nata.
